Use context clues to help readers figure out the meaning of the words. 
3. Writing: pf. 11 Choose your favorite sports team. Write a letter to a friend telling why our team is a great team.  Use reasons that will persuade your friend to agree with you. Share your letter witha partner. Ask your partner if your letter was persuasive enough.
